    low effort publishing
    By stonebit
Poorly written. Clearly rushed into print with no editorial review. Sentences just stop mid sentence with no punctuation. Pretty verbose on some basics that anyone reading this should know. Seems like someone's publishing homework rough draft.

I was looking for a condensed intro into OpenStack without having to scour the web for relevant information.
With the help of this book I built a solid understanding of all the components that go into OpenStack technology and would recommend it to anyone needing to start out with OpenStack.

For new OpenStack users, this book will be a valuable reference.
    By VINOTH KUMAR S
"OpenStack Essentials - Second Edition" is a clearly written book with updated content as of on Mitaka Openstack release that even a new OpenStack user can find easy to follow.

Illustrations are simple and informative. They convey information about the major components in RDO installation.
For new OpenStack users, this book will be a valuable reference.

It describes the components of OpenStack in an easily understandable way and offers contrasts to other commonly used frameworks (i.e. AWS) to help illustrate how things work.

The book begins with an overview of the entire RDO framework and installation, then provides a chapter on each of the major services. The user is given very plain step-by-step instructions on how to install and configure each service, and adequate explanation of why these steps are being taken.
