Esta edición es un timo, dice en la portada que incluye acceso al test online y es mentira.

Parece un completo timo. El círculo rojo que se encuentra en la parte superior derecha de la portada dice que incluye acceso a un test de Inteligencia Emocional. Éste sirve de base para seguir el curso del libro. La realidad es que esta edición NO INCLUYE ESTE TEST por lo que hace el resto del libro inservible. Este es uno de los riesgos de comprar libros en internet, y sobretodo en la tienda de Amazon que mezcla distintas ediciones con distintos ISBN dentro del mismo producto.

Es por ello que mi valoración es la más baja posible. Amazon debería dejar de vender un producto que anuncia algo que es mentira.

Having succeeded in establishing themselves in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, in the early 16th century Spain and Portugal became the first imperial powers on a worldwide scale. Between 1580 and 1640, when these two entities were united, they achieved an almost global hegemony, constituting the largest political force in Europe and abroad. Although they lost their political primacy in the seventeenth century, both monarchies survived and were able to enjoy a relative success until the early 19th century. The aim of this collection is to answer the question how and why their cultural and political legacies persist to date. … Part I focuses on the construction of the monarchy, examining the ways different territories integrated in the imperial network mainly by inquiring to what extent local political elites maintained their autonomy, and to what a degree they shared power with the royal administration. Part II deals primarily with the circulation of ideas, models and people, observing them as they move in space but also as they coincide in the court, which was a veritable melting pot in which the various administrations that served the Kings and the various territories belonging to the monarchy developed their own identities, fought for recognition, and for what they considered their proper place in the global hierarchy. Part III explains the forms of dependence and symbiosis established with other European powers, such as Genoa and the United Provinces. Attempting to reorient the politics of these states, political and financial co-dependence often led to bad economic choices. … The Editors and Contributors discard the portrayal of the Iberian monarchies as the accumulation of many bilateral relations arranged in a radial pattern, arguing that these political entities were polycentric, that is to say, they allowed for the existence of many different centers which interacted and thus participated in the making of empire. The resulting political structure was complex and unstable, albeit with a general adhesion to a discourse of loyalty to King and religion.

no real "secrets" revealed. Just lots self praise.

Very poor. Great self praise, NO explanations of his levitations, dissapearance, etc. Only self praise & 40 cheap coin & card tricks found in any book on magic. The title is misleading & gives no real "revealing" of how walking on water, etc is done. Big dissapointment.

Cool book with bad language and boastful magician

I have some mixed feelings about this book. First off, for anyone interested in magic and Criss Angel, I would highly recommend this fascinating book. Autobiographical in nature, this is Angel's life uncut, uncensored and off the cuff. That being said, if you have a weak stomach or are easily offended, this book may not be for you. Angel can be a bit graphic with some of his effects and stunts, and the language he uses can be very course. Along with being a life story, this book has some great effects that can't be learned anywhere else, and I have read a lot of magic books. Angel is on top of his game no doubt, but at times he can come off as sounding prideful and arrogant. I guess I may be too if I were him, but his cockiness can get a little annoying. Overall, I would definitely recommend this clever book.

Pleasantly surprised

I used to be a huge fan of his until he went the way of the overhyped douchebag. I bought this book for two reasons: I still think he's hot, and tyhe book was bargain bin cheap. pretty awesome buy, I must say. The book was well written, informative, fun to read, and chock full of step by step illusions. Oh, and he's still pretty hot. I reccommend!

You Must Practice What You Read

I purchased this book primarily because it was referenced by several authors of other Mckinsey books that I've read. I was taken aback by the price of the book but I'm of the school of thought that great ideas need not come in large packages. As like many of the other reviewers, I found this book a tough read and had to break it down into smaller bite size readings. What I did that help me tremedously was build a Pyramid chart capturing the SCQ ---Answer using sticky notes. Once built, I was able to easily see the ideas she was presenting and was able to clarify my thinking and writing substantially.

For years I struggled with getting my ideas out of my head and onto paper coherently. Now, I have a great tool that speeds this process up and get my point across succintly.

Here's Flo Kennedy, "radicalism's rudest mouth," telling her life story in full and for the first time. Raised in Kansas City in the twenties, she was one of five sisters, the daughter of a father who stood off the Ku Klux Klan with a shotgun and a mother who taught them always to hold out for the best.

One of the first Black women to graduate from Columbia Law School, she went on to represent Billie Holiday and Charlie Parker. In the sixties she was a delegate to the Black Power conferences, then took up the battle against sexism and racism by founding the Media Workshop, the Feminist Party, and the Coalition Against Racism and Sexism. She was a member of the legal team which was instrumental in liberalizing the New York State abortion laws, and was co-author of Abortion Rap.

She has mastered guerilla warfare tactics on the picket line and in the streets and suites of New York. Her verbal karate has provoked and entertained TV audiences internationally. Now in COLOR ME FLO the inimitable Flo Kennedy makes her case to the reader.
